Veneers

With a veneer, it’s possible to cover up dental imperfections that might have been a barrier to smiling confidently.

Our veneers are designed and made with love and care by our talented dentists and dental technicians, and they are true works of art.

Beautiful porcelain veneers made for your smile

Veneers are one of the most tooth-like cosmetic restorations for your smile. A veneer is made from a sheet of porcelain, which is carefully shaped and shade-matched for your smile.

Our clients love veneers because:

  • The porcelain material is a near-identical match for tooth enamel.
  • They last for many years (they last longer than composite bonding).
  • They can be used together with teeth whitening to brighten your smile.
  • They’re extremely stain-resistant.
  • They are hardwearing (eating even the toughest of foods will feel completely normal).

The veneers process

Consultation: X-rays, impressions, data and photographs are taken and collated during your consultation. We will take the time to get to know you and what you expect your new smile to look like.

Smile design: using our planning technology, the design for your veneer is determined.

Preparation: your tooth is prepared for the veneer. This involves the strategic removal of tooth enamel (which is minimal) to ensure the veneer fits comfortably over the tooth’s front surface.

Placement: at a future appointment, your veneer will be placed using a strong adhesive.

FAQs

1. What can veneers treat?

Veneers can:

  • Improve your smile.
  • Enhance or alter the shape of your teeth.
  • Close wider gaps between your teeth.
  • Strengthen the outer parts of your teeth if they are worn or eroded.
  • Give you that celebrity smile.
  • Give you white teeth.

2. Am I better suited for veneers or composite bonding?

This is a question we are often asked by our clients, and it’s a good one since both treatments address many of the same concerns.

Please see the table above, which outlines how veneers and composite bonding differ.

3. Will I still need to come to the hygienist after getting veneers?

We can’t recommend routine hygienist visits enough (and that’s not just because we’re a hygienist practice!). Without routine professional cleaning with the hygienist, your natural teeth, and indeed your veneer, will eventually become coated in plaque and tartar. Not only does this not look great, but it’s also a risk to your oral hygiene.
