Classic scale and polish (30 minutes)

Our classic scale and polish include the following:

• Removal of plaque and tartar using manual instruments/ultrasonic scaling.
• Oral hygiene assessment.
• Screening for gum disease.
• Standard polish.
• Dietary advice.
• Advice on using dental aids effectively.
• Interdental cleaning.

Recommended for: patients with low risk of gum disease/very little biofilm on their teeth.

Classic scale and Airflow® polish (30 – 40 minutes)

Our classic scale and Airflow® polish include:

• Removal of plaque and tartar using manual instruments/ultrasonic scaling.
• Airflow® polishing to remove tenacious and substantial areas of biofilm.
• Interdental cleaning.
• Oral hygiene assessment.
• Screening for gum disease.
• Standard polish.
• Dietary advice.
• Advice on using dental aids effectively.

Recommended for: patients with low risk and high risk of gum disease/minor or moderate biofilm on their teeth.

Fluoride treatment

Post-treatment, a fluoride treatment may be topically applied, which helps to remineralise teeth that have suffered significant acid erosion.
